Lion at Midnight wrote:Guess I should have added we have sax/harmonica, guitar/percussion, guitar, bass, drums...looking to add a sixth. Located near Berryville.
Lion at Midnight is looking for a keyboard player ( male or female, w/or w/out keys...we have some) who can sing a little bit...and: 1) is not a drunk 2) is into playing southern/classic rock, blues, r&b, and originals 3) is located in Northern Virginia or the Northern Shenandoah Valley 4) understands that playing 4 sets in front of nobody sux, regardless of the pay. We all have day jobs and don't need gigs to pay the mortgage...well, not yet any way.
If you play more than just keys, great, we have a few multi instrumentalists in the group.
Here is our credo/ pitch:
In order for musicians to know where they are going they have to know where the music they play came from. Lion at Midnight's music is feed by the roots of Rock-n-Roll and Rhythm and Blues. From Lynyrd Skynyrd to James Browne, from the Allman Brothers to the Temptations, Lion at Midnight can trace their roots down into the rich soil of rock and blues. With such strong roots, Lion at Midnight is able to put their own vibe into classic songs of the past without losing the smoky flavor of the road houses and juke joints from which they were first heard. In addition knowing where their roots are, Lion at Midnight also has an eye on other musicians like Gov't Mule, Ben Harper and John Mayer who share their common musical ancestry. Lion at Midnight enjoys blending the new with the old to produce their unique toe tapping, head swaying, danceable sounds.
