Northern VA Punk band Risk Ray is searching for a singer. We've been playing since 2013 and have 2 albums under our belt.
We're looking for a motivated individual who wants to play melodic punk rock, who enjoys the writing process and also someone who is local and is going to remain local for quite some time (last 2 band members moved to the OTHER coast). Some one in their 30's+ is preferred (but not a deal breaker) since we're all old family guys who need a midlife crisis punk band.
Our style is closer to west coast punk with influences like Face to Face, Jimmy Eat World, Bad Religion, Get Up Kids,Dinosaur Jr. and also influenced by all things metal (like old metal, Megadeth, Pantera, Sepultura....fast and awesome).
We have zero intentions of touring the country (unless someone offers us $1 Million), we like to write, play shows on occasion and record. We've got an amazing practice space with a full PA, beer fridge and anything else a band could possibly want.
We're also open to female vocals as well so if you can sing, want to play fast melodic punk rock and make some awesome music don't be shy.
Please send me samples, we really want to find an excellent fit and we're not in the mood for grinding through people that can't sing or play (no offense, we're all seasoned players, hope you understand)
