Well -- if we could find some other musicians it would be alot more fun... but I am playing jazz at the following places:

The Victorian Inn - Luray
Cave Ridge Winery - Mt Jackson
both Restaurants on the Skyline Drive

these are not jams...  but would still like to have other musicians who are interested...Steve

Greg, I'm a jazz drummer currently playing with the Waynesville Wildcats out of Waynesville NC. I'll be moving to Millboro Springs, VA (north of Lexington) in the near future, and I will be looking for a really smooth jazz band to play with. You sound really good and I'd love to sit in with you sometime. If this sounds cool, my email is alan.mcrae@charter.net. Groove on...

Hey Steve,   My name is Roger, My wife and I live in the Stephens City area.  I presently play with our church praise team (contemporary christian rock) but I love to  play jazz.  Haven't had much opportunity to play jazz for a while and would like to get to know some local jazz players.  Hopefully be able to jam on standards and eventually make a little $ doing gigs.  Recently retired (age 56) and though I stay pretty busy I need to get back to playing again.  My sight reading is a bit weak, but I can improvise on changes.  If your doing any playing I wouldn't mind sitting in on a few tunes and gettin' acquainted with you and some of the jazz players you gig with.

Looking forward to hearing from you.   My e-mail is: rogerlindamckinley316@comcast.net

We are opening a new winery in Mount Jackson and would love to highlight local artist with Jam sessions. Come out and take a look at us and see what you think. We have a great old barn that has wonderful acoustics. I will call you Steve!
