I can do high alto jazz/soprano vocal parts.. email me at knicolecooley at gmail.com or
call 540-745-4061.

I can send you sound files or links to sound files.

I have experience playing out and recording.

I am primarily a soprano/alto back up and/or lead vocalist and can sing many styles.

I can also play rhythm guitar and incidental percussion and melody lines on keyboards depending on the need to fill in.

I'm pretty busy through the fall season but would love to work toward a new music project in the springtime.

I would like to see if there is any interest in forming a mid sized jazz combo. Anywhere from 6 to 8 pieces. The type of material would be from the American Song Book, typical jazz standards, also some of the 60's retro instrumentals.

If successful, I would like to do venues at local wine vineyards in the area. The approximate radius of 100 miles. Virginia has as many or perhaps more vineyards than California. This would be our target market. I've been in the process of building a business model for it in case we can be successful forming up.

The members would have to be a fairly dedicated group, and share commitment to this project in order to make it work. I can't sell the project if I don't know what I've got!

Typically, Keys, and horns, are what I'm looking for now. The skill level required to play this material is fairly high, charting would be limited, however, I know that there are some capable players out there, I just want to see if the interest exists. Rehearsals would be limited at first until we could acquire a good working base, then gradually increase as progress is made.

I'm not pulling punches here, a project such as this one could take a considerable amount of time before implementation. There would also require some gratuitous events in order to get ourselves working in the venues. So there it is, would like to hear from like minded, and creative alternative folks.
